Q: What is the Mother Lode?
A: The Mother Lode is the richest Gold Find in the mine.

Q: How do I find the Mother Lode?
A: The Mother Lode can only be located using the Gold Map.

Q: How do I get the Map?
A: The Map consists of 2 halves [2 Bulls & Bears cards].

Q: What happens if I get half the Map?
A: You must wait until another player (rarely yourself) gets the other half of the Map. Players holding the complete Map must wait until the next Gold Rush to find the Mother Lode together. Each player gets a Mother Lode token.

Q: Can players who find the Mother Lode participate in the Standard Gold Rush?
A: No.

Q: What should we do with the Map after the Mother Lode is found?
A: The Map is randomly inserted back into the Bulls & Bears deck and the deck is thoroughly shuffled.

Q: How many Gold Strikes is each Mother Lode worth?
A: Each Mother Lode is worth 10 Gold Strikes.

Q: Where do I sell the Mother Lode?
A: You may sell the Mother Lode when you land on any Gold Exchange Market [GEM] Space. You can also sell it to another player for a negotiable price at anytime.

Q: What happens during a Gold Rush if one player holds the entire Gold Map to the Mother Lode?
A: In the rare case where one player holds both halves of the Gold Map to the Mother Lode, that player gets two Mother Lode tokens. The remaining players participate in the Standard Gold Rush.

Q: What happens when there are only two players in a Gold Rush and one player holds the entire Gold Map to the Mother Lode?
A: The player that holds the entire Map gets two Mother Lode tokens. The other player automatically Strikes Gold and gets one Gold Strike token.

Q: What happens when there are three players in a Gold Rush and two of the players hold the Gold Map to the Mother Lode?
A: The two players that hold the Map find the Mother Lode together and each one gets a Mother Lode token. The third player automatically Strikes Gold and gets one Gold Strike token.
