Q:
What's an example of a Market Up card? A:
Suppose you land on Market News and pick a Market Up card. Now suppose A = 43,
B = 90, C = 0 [Halted], and D = 143 before the news. You roll a 7. You must move
every Stock UP 14 points [2 x 7]. Now A = 57, B = 104, C = 14, and D = 157. Since
Market News is a Secondary Trade space, you may trade after you move the Market
UP 14 points.
Note: Carnelian was
Halted [C = 0] before the news. Since the news was GOOD, Carnelian resumed trading
at 14 dollars per share. Q:
What's an example of a Market Down card? A:
Suppose you land on Market News and pick a Market Down card. Now suppose A = 43,
B = 90, C = 0 [Halted], and D = 143 before the news. You roll a 10. You must move
every Stock DOWN 20 points [2 x 10]. Now A = 23, B = 70, C = 0 [Bankrupt], and
D = 123. Since Market News is a Secondary Trade space, you may trade after you
move the Market DOWN 20 points. Note:
Carnelian was Halted [C = 0] before the news. Since the news was BAD, Carnelian
became Bankrupt and no longer trades. Q:
What's an example of a Market Skyrockets! card? A:
Suppose you land on Market News and pick a Market Skyrockets! card. Now suppose
A = 43, B = 90, C = 0 [Halted], and D = 143 before the news. You must DOUBLE the
price of A, B, and D, and move C UP by 3 x Roll. You roll and get a 7. Now A =
86, B = 180, C = 21, and D = 286. Since Market News is a Secondary Trade space,
you may trade after the Market Skyrockets. Note:
Carnelian was Halted [C = 0] before the news. Since the news was A Market Skyrockets!
card, Carnelian resumed trading at 21 dollars per share [3 x 7]. Q:
What's an example of a Market Crash! card? A:
Suppose you land on Market News and pick a Market Crash! card. Now suppose A =
43, B = 90, C = 0 [Halted], and D = 143 before the news. You must CUT the price
of every Stock IN HALF. Now A = 22, B = 45, C = 0 [Bankrupt], and D = 72. Since
Market News is a Secondary Trade space, you may trade after the Market Crash. Note:
Carnelian was Halted [C = 0] before the news. Since the news was A Market Crash!
card, Carnelian became Bankrupt and no longer trades. |
