Kyrollos invented Stock Rush! in August 1999.
He holds degrees in Chemistry, Computer
Science and Mathematics and has been working in the Stock Market
since 1995.
It was
an early morning in August of 1999. I recall playing some sort of
a board game while I was still asleep. It had something to do with
the Stock Market. When I woke up, I dashed out of bed and ran to
my office to draw a sketch of the game board (or what was left of
it that I could still remember).
The rudimentary sketch consisted of a rectangular
board. I placed the two corner spaces, Market News and Company
News, almost immediately. Although, I don't recall actually seeing
those spaces in my dream; somehow I remember trading on general
news that affected the entire Stock Market and on news that only
affected individual companies. The FOMC Meeting space and the
Trading spaces were developed later that day.
It took me about four years of seemingly countless
revisions to completely develop Stock Rush to my satisfaction.
I spent nearly one year writing a computer program to simulate
and test the game. The program was indispensable in helping me
complete the design, optimize, and finally test Stock Rush.
