Q: Why is this space named "Dispel Market Rumor"?
A: Because if a player lands on this space when a Market Rumor exists [alive] the Market Rumor is Dispelled. In other words, landing on this space when a Market Rumor is circulating is equivalent to hearing news that the rumor is false.

Q: Is Dispel Market Rumor a Secondary Trade space?
A: Yes. Any trade you make when you land on this space is a Secondary Trade.

Q: What is the Dispel Market Rumor card?
A: The Dispel Market Rumor card contains specific instructions for "Dispelling a Market Rumor". The four steps in the instructions must be followed in the listed order!

Q: What happens when I land on the Dispel Market Rumor space and the Dispel Market Rumor card is there?
A: The "Rumor Exists" and you must "Dispel The Market Rumor" by following the instructions on the card:

Step 1: If the Rumor affected the Market then you must:

(a) Roll Die;
(b) Reverse effects using (Number of Passes) x Roll;
(c) Return the Green Peg to the Zero slot.

Step 2: Turn over the top Market News card and transfer it to the bottom. The Rumor no longer exists;

Step 3: You may now "Trade on the News" [Secondary Trade];

Step 4: Flip the Dispel Market Rumor card over and return it to the Market Rumor space.

Q: If I land on Dispel Market Rumor and I "Trade on the Rumor" is this considered a Secondary Trade?
A: Yes. If you "Trade on the Rumor" by following the instructions on the Dispel Market Rumor card [Step 3], it is a Secondary Trade.

Q: What's an example of a player landing on the Dispel Market Rumor space and the Dispel Market Rumor card is there?
A: Suppose Maurice rolls the die and lands on Dispel Market Rumor and the Dispel Market Rumor card is there. The "Rumor Exists" and he must "Dispel The Market Rumor" by following the instructions on the card.

Suppose the rumor was GOOD [action on top Market News card is Green] and affected the Market THREE times [Passes = 3]. He rolls a 7 and moves every Stock DOWN 21 points [3 x 7] to reverse the effects of the rumor. He returns the Green Peg to the Zero slot. He turns over the top Market News card and transfers it face-down to the bottom of the deck. He chooses not to trade.

Finally, Maurice flips the Dispel Market Rumor card over and returns it to the Market Rumor space. The rumor has been dispelled and no longer exists!

Q: What happens when I land on the Dispel Market Rumor space and the Dispel Market Rumor card is not there?
A: If the Dispel Market Rumor card is not there then the rumor does not exist. However, you may trade because this is a Secondary Trade space.

Q: What happens if I am sent to the Dispel Market Rumor space by a Bulls & Bears card?
A: If the "Rumor is Alive", you must follow the instructions on the Dispel Market Rumor card. You may trade because this is a Secondary Trade space.
